Hypoxia/hyperoxia chamber shown with array holder and arrays
The ECIS BioSpherix Hypoxia Chamber is designed to work with all ECIS Cell Culture Monitoring Systems. The small, clear plastic chambers fit within incubators and have sensors to modify the oxygen levels within this small space. The Hypoxia Chamber accomodates the ECIS array holder with nearly airtight seals for precise control of oxygen levels. ECIS electrically monitors morphological changes of cells in tissue culture and provides quantitative, real time measurements of cell motility, attachment/spreading, barrier function and cell permeability. These measurements can be coupled with experimental protocols for studies of cell-integrin (ECM) interactions, metastatic invasion, signal transduction, and cell migration (via automated wound-healing). This device would allow one to make real time ECIS measurements as oxygen was changed from ambient to hypoxia or hyperoxia conditions.
The chamber is also available with replaceable septums to allow introduction of syringed materials without opening the chamber door.
