Demo Agreement:
Thank you for your interest in testing ECIS and trying our demo option. Below are a few conditions along with requirements for a successful demo.
- Applied Biophysics (ABP) agrees to make available an ECIS instrument (1600R or 1600) for a two-week period.
- All equipment necessary for Electric Cell-Substrate Impedance Sensing is provided by ABP, this includes: controller, array holder, computer and start up supply of arrays. (Typically with a demo ABP provides 4 arrays (two 8W1E and 8W10E). Additional arrays are available for purchase at a cost of $44.95 each or 6+ for $39.95 each.)
- ABP agrees to pay the shipping from ABP to your location and requests researcher, should the decision be made not to keep the instrument, agree to pay return shipping fees.
- ABP requests at least one researcher be dedicated to learning the operation and maintenance of the instrument. As the dedicated operator we request to speak with this researcher on the phone for remote installation instruction. We also request a follow up call at the end of the first experiment for data analysis and questions regarding operation.
- A minimum bench length of 45 cm is required next to the incubator (opposite the hinge side), for controller location. If the incubator does not have a port for cables, the cables most go over the door flange and are held in place by the doors. We do recommend a dedicated incubator as the measurements reflect changes in temperature.
